Day 23, June 18, 2007

This weeks' theme is "half". My spontaneity sucks sometimes.

Day 21, June 16, 2007

I was simply trying to get a photo of Kathryn and daddy sharing household duties and was initially disappointed by this, but actually, I like the fact that it shows action and shows really HOW much she tries to be like her daddy sometimes.

Day 19, June 14, 2007

Happy Flag Day.

Day 17, June 12, 2007

... And it all comes tumbling down.

This week's theme is "Vintage". Though most of the country finds this a familiar symbol of a form of commercialism in America it's now considered old or even obsolete by some. At work, we no longer say "Cingular" as I now work for AT&T. Soon, the 8-foot sign above the front door at work will be removed to be replaced by a large, blue sphere. Hence, why these photos would be considered "vintage".

Speaking of work, tonight, I jumped the fence in our backyard again to talk to Deb (Deb lives right behind us. Her back fence is falling down and there's really no jumping to be done, just "stepping over". Deb is a manager at my work). On my way back, I saw that our rose had bloomed more and I took a photo. I was impressed once I pulled it up in editor to see the extreme detail I got in the original photo. I photoshopped it for the purpose of drawing the eye and just for fun.

Day 16, June 11, 2007

I see this automobile every day at work. It's held together by bungee cords. The battery is attached to the bed of the truck, yet, its age intrugues me.

Day 15, June 10, 2007

We decided to have a family outing today at Petit Jean State Park near Morrilton, AR . Unfortunately, storms were rolling in as we got there, but it still made for a good time. George and I want to go back sans Kathryn to do the hiking trails when we're not dodging lightning bolts.

Day 14, June 9, 2007

My father told me it would most likely take a year for our rose bushes to bud again after we relocated them last month to another part of our yard. Ha!

Day 12, June 7, 2007

Today was Kathryn's last day of Gym for the semester. She got a medal for her accomplishments. I didn't even think of taking our camera or video camera. My cell phone was all I had. This is the only one she cooperated for.

Day 10, June 5, 2007

George and I recently went on a walk on the Big Dam Bridge connecting North Little Rock and Little Rock over the Arkansas river. Since the theme is "Night" this week, I thought I'd share these.

Day 8, June 3, 2007

Kaci got her new Backyardigans video! Going shopping is such hard work!

We were invited to a "Family and Friends" night at a local sports/outdoors retailer that George applied to recently. Though they turned him down for a management position a couple of months ago, he's apparently at the top of their list for hire in the event a current manager resigns or falls through.

Day 7, June 2, 2007

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

Day 6, June 1, 2007

There's not a lot you can say or do to make you think of things that happened to me today. My daughter, husband and I take frequent walks around the neighborhood. There's this cat that we always stop and let my daughter pet. Such a sweet little girl, that kitty.
On my way home from work yesterday, I found her on the side of the road. She'd been hit some hours before. Our walk for the afternoon was cancelled as I didn't want Kathryn to find the kitty. I attempted to knock on the neighbor's door to alert them, but there was no answer.
I had no choice but to call Animal Control today to pick her up.
When I got home from running errands, I got a phone call from a friend of mine at work. She delivered even worse news to me. The daughter and girlfriend of a coworker of mine died mysteriously on Monday morning. They suspect the girlfriend had a seizure and fell on top of her two-month-old daughter. My coworker is devastated.
With all this in mind, the only thing I could do was take a picture of my neigbor's rose, thinking of the sadness I felt all day.

Day 5, May 31, 2007

Perspective... from above... driving home from work on my "friday". The weekend has arrived!

Day 4, May 30, 2007

I work in Cubeville for a major cellular company. For my photos for today, I took random photos at my desk with my camera phone.

Day 3, May 29, 2007

When I moved to Little Rock 2 years ago, I was amazed to learn that Little Rock proper has hills and a mountain. Now, it's just part of the scenery and is what I see off the balcony at work every day.
